What is weld spatter?
Weld spatter is the spark produce when you do the welding. The spark itself is the molten metal droplet from the metal welded.
What is wrong with weld spatter?
Maybe it’s not a big deal as if the weld spatter is not spattering everywhere on workpiece and workplace after you do the welding. But weld spatter will stick and harden on the workpiece that might cause aesthetic defect. Also, the weld spatter can build up on the workplace table and the table no longer flat. Once the weld spatter already hardens on the surface, it is not easy to clean up and remove. What come to worst, weld spatter can clog the torch head and may cause short-circuit.
Thus, solution for this problem can use ANTI SPATTER SPRAY.
What is Anti Spatter Spray?
Anti-spatter spray provides a layer of coating to prevent the weld spatters from sticking and hardening on the workpiece and workplace. The anti-spatter spray may contain silicone-based, water-based or any other based like ceramic. The application is easy, just by spraying a light coating of the anti-spatter on the related area. Once welding working is done, the weld spatters can be removed just by wiped away using cloth or brush.
